Anti-Ragging Committee
Indore Mahavidyalaya is firmly committed to providing a safe, secure, and friendly academic environment for all students. The institution strictly adheres to the regulations and guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC), concerned affiliating universities, and the Government of India regarding the prevention and prohibition of ragging.
Ragging in any form is a serious offence and is strictly prohibited within the campus and its surrounding areas. The college follows a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging and ensures that every student is able to pursue education with dignity, confidence, and peace of mind.
Objectives of the Anti-Ragging Committee
- To prevent the occurrence of ragging in any form within the campus.
- To create awareness among students about the consequences of ragging.
- To ensure a disciplined, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
- To promptly address and resolve complaints related to ragging.
- To ensure strict compliance with UGC and university anti-ragging regulations.
Functions of the Committee
- Conduct awareness programs and orientation sessions for newly admitted students.
- Monitor student activities to prevent any incidents of ragging.
- Display anti-ragging guidelines and warnings at prominent places within the campus.
- Receive and investigate complaints related to ragging in a fair and confidential manner.
- Recommend appropriate disciplinary action against offenders, if any, as per institutional and statutory norms.
Anti-Ragging Measures
- Mandatory submission of anti-ragging undertakings by students and parents at the time of admission.
- Regular interaction between faculty members and students to identify and address concerns.
- Counseling and mentoring support for students.
- Immediate action on any reported incident of ragging.
The Anti-Ragging Committee of Indore Mahavidyalaya works proactively to maintain a campus culture based on mutual respect, discipline, and harmony. Students are encouraged to report any instance of ragging without fear, as confidentiality and protection of complainants are ensured.
Names and designations of committee members will be displayed separately as per institutional norms.
